Over thirty years ago The Woodshop Cupolas, Inc.'s Woodshop Cupolas
were designed by master craftsman Phil Alley in his Bar Harbor, Maine
workshop. While foreman at the time for a large local construction company he was
often asked to obtain and install a cupola on area buildings. Seeing
the need for a high quality cupola and having difficulty finding one that
would pass his high standards he decided to build his own. Eventually demand
for his cupolas became so great that he struck out on his own and The
Woodshop Cupolas was born. Our family-crafted cupolas are built with only the finest materials available using methods usually reserved for high quality cabinetry.
Every cupola we sell is hand made by the Woodshop Cupolas family crew here in our
downeast Maine workshops and is built to last. Because we control the
quality ourselves each cupola comes with a written guarantee. Since we
are a small family team we can keep our prices affordable while offering a
product that we are proud to sign.
At first we offered only manufactured weathervanes to go along with our
handcrafted cupolas. We still carry several fine lines of these weather
vanes. But Phil wasn't content to stop at designing cupolas and went on
to design and build his own line of copper weathervanes, Acadia
Weathervanes.
